Pop Culture.

What is with the pop culture references lately? My anatomy professor had the following to say about the digestive system this morning:
"So! In traditional Borg fashion, we want to eat the bread and absorb it... assimilate it, if you will."
I was so embarrassed until I realized other people were laughing too.
(This, of course, was paltry compared to his description of what happens after you swallow whatever you're eating: "After that, you really don't have any control over it. It's like maneuvering the gondola through the Pirates of the Caribbean ride, only without the gun fight. You're just along for the ride... you have no control of the boat.")
